Venezuela is the country where ‘the neotropical experience' started for the author Peter Boesman. After his first visit to study Venezuelan birds in 1988, he was so impressed that two years later he made it his home during seven years.
After his return to Belgium, he continued recording bird vocalizations on every trip to the Neotropics.
In 1999 Peter published the CD-ROM 'Birds of Venezuela / Aves de Venezuela 1.0', a pioneering product at that time. From the feedback he received from many users, it was obvious that there was a need for something in the field.
And now it is finaly there: the MP3-CD.
Peter sincerely hopes it appeals to many people and will encourage them to study the wealth of birds in Venezuela!
A complete species list and information on the date and locality for every recording is available as a pdf file. For Mac users a PDF file can be found on the disc.
This CR-ROM covers 95% of the species of the Guiana's: Surinam, French Guiana and British Guyana.
